- Add a heater to your bird bath as temperatures dip below freezing.
- Festival of the cranes at Bosque del Apache in New Mexico (Now takes place in December )
- Birds begin to flock.
- Bushtits come in large groups to suet feeders.
- Fall migration "ends." Present birds will remain in the area for winter.
- Yellow-rumped Warblers are present throughout the region.
- Watch for Cedar Waxwings flocking with Robins in search of berries and water.
- Pine Siskins are seen throughout city and mountain areas on nyjer/thistle feeders.
- Leonid meteor shower is mid-month.
- Northern Flickers are seen all around the area as well as Juncos.
