New Mexico Places to See and Other Birding Links
New Mexico is a birding paradise offering diverse landscapes that attract a wide variety of bird species. From the Rio Grande Bosque to the dramatic cliffs of the Gila National Forest, birders can enjoy spotting everything from Sandhill Cranes and Western Tanagers to rare species like the Painted Redstart. Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge is a must-visit, especially during the winter migration season when thousands of geese and cranes take to the skies.
Migration Activity with BirdCast
BirdCast is a groundbreaking tool that uses weather radar data to track and forecast bird migration patterns, helping birders and conservationists stay informed about migration activity in their area.
